Mercosur in the context of regionalism in Latin America

MERCOSUR was founded in 1991, when the most important countries of the Latin American continent realizes that only through cooperation can achieve a development close to global requirements.
Subscribe the Treaty of Asuncion in fact meant the emergence of MERCOSUR. Founding members are Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay. They were later joined by  Chile and Bolivia.
