Part 1 represents a theoretical analysis of globalization issues, containing an evaluation of the main organizational transformations occurred in the globalization age. Part II, The technological environment, is dedicated to an analysis of the main changes in the production methods and tools. Part III of the book, The political environment, analyses the political environment of the firm, based on the contributions of the institutionalism thinking. Part IV, The cultural environment, approaches cultural differences of the different markets on which multinational firms operate. Part V of the volume, The competitive environment, addresses the problem of firm competitiveness and the why in which this concept should be understood and approached, in a world in which competitive advantages have to be created and are not inherited.
