The History of Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies Library

The History of Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies Library is a work celebrating the 100th anniversary of AES Library. The history of the library interferes with the history of the former Academy of Higher Commercial and Industrial Studies (AISCI), now Academy of Economic Studies.
 

 This book represents both a scientific contribution to the history of Romanian libraries and a way to make known ASE Library to users, authorities and other institutions. The monograph covers the library history that reveals its evolution, its achievements; it also presents the organizational structure, collections, human resources, and the specialized publications edited by the library.
 

The jubilee volume illustrates the library predecessors’ efforts and professionalism and it may be considered a symbol of gratitude and appreciation of their work, at present, when celebrating a century of existence of the Academy, and also of the Library.

The cultural memory of the library is also valued within the pages of the monograph through a rich visual material.
