The socioeconomic conditions have influenced the educational system by drastically reducing the number of physical education lessons. Lack of motor stimulation, unbalanced diet and physical inactivity, unfortunately, led to a disorganized and unhealthy lifestyle, with serious consequences for present and future generations.
One of the fastest and most effective solutions to remedy this problem is to practice a form of physical activity, to eliminate negative influences of the three destructive factors of modern civilization: sedentary lifestyle, overstressing and over-eating. The author has proposed broadening of knowledge of data relating to overweight and obesity seen in young economists in our university.
Divided into four chapters, the book describes rigorously and compared the innovative combination of five types of physical exercise (fitness, Pilates, stretching, brisk walking and jogging) which, applied consistently in physical education lessons, led to improving physical and mental condition of overweight and obese female students in ASE Bucharest. We hope that it will be useful to other students, physical education teachers and all those interested in this topic.
