The idea to write this book is the result of the synergy between several determining factors. Some of these factors are the experience acquired by the authors as teachers, researchers, reviewers at various scientific events, graduate, master’s and PhD thesis supervisors, project assessors at various competitions, and especially as editors and advisers of domestic and foreign economic journals indexed in prestigious databases such as Clarivate Analytics Web of Science and Scopus. In light of the above aspects, the authors have understood the conceptual and, in particular, the methodological challenges, difficulties and shortcomings faced by various authors, especially the young researchers (MA students, PhD students, instructors etc.), in developing and making up scientific articles in the various fields of economics and business administration.
The authors adopt a logical and systematic approach to the process of writing, editing and publishing a scientific article. They start from past and present challenges of each particular field and of current multi, pluri, trans and cross-disciplinary research, then describe the structural elements of a scientific article and its editing requirements as well as the relevant aspects related to research and publication deontology, and end up with presenting ways of disseminating the results of their investigation. Their purpose is to provide practical suggestions for improving the work of writing and publishing scientific articles.
