West and East. The Culture of Violence and Social Emotions

 This work presents from an intercultural perspective, the norms, values and patterns specific to the collectivist and individualistic societies related to gender relationship. In this respect, stereotypes and prejudices existent in relations of power are highlighted. The way we relate to sexuality is decisively influenced by culture, social organization and religion. Thus, we can understand the “algorithm” of the institutionalization of sexism and its proliferation in any society as well as the crystallization and expression of social emotions. The public and private space represent the “arena” in which we examined the culture of violence. Further, its extreme forms and characteristics are discussed.
